Halloween swaps

This was not an easy swap for me - I have never celebrated Halloween, and didn't have any suitable images in my stash! So I found this sentiment in Wacky wishes stamp set, and some spooky colours. Quite quick and easy!

Artful Stamper's swaps

August swap was a male card, suitable for Father's day.
Male cards are not always easy for me, but I went for my favourite stamp set and neutral colours. It is the Wetlands stamp set - love the "sketchy" feel of these images, and beaches are my relaxing space, so this is an image that resonates in all ways.
Managed a couple of colour-ways. I usually leave sentiments until I've decided a recipient.

Another build a card.

I love these "build a card" - helpful inspiration when you need it (or even if you don't). This was perfect for a dear friend having a special birthday!

"Build a card" completed

Finally have time to upload the completed cards - 6 in total, all following the same instructions, with the same stamped image, and the same colour-way. All different.

I had so much fun doing this, and Alisa is starting another Build a card now, so I might have more to post in a few days.

Build a card

I have been participating in Alisa's Build a card project for the past few days. The idea is to follow posted instructions daily until the card is completed. So far, we have
1) stamped and cut out an image in particular colours (pink, green and yellow)
2) selected a card base and first panel (from the same colors) Note that the stamped flower is not attached.
3) add another panel with with 2 banners - one from the same as base card stock.
As I find it easier to work in multiples, I stamped and cut out 5 more images, so here are the other 5 card bases so far. More to follow later in the week, time permitting.

Feb swap

The Artful Stampers Feb swap was an Easter card, which had me thinking! I don't have any specific Easter stamp sets, so I used the Whacky wishes sentiment, and stamped a background using Flower patch stamps. It was fun, and I will use this method again for very original "dsp"

Blog Hop 76

Artful stampers blog hop was a sketch this week. I turned it on it's side. It was super quick to make this card, and a great way to use up all those scraps that I can't throw away!

This is what I came up with.

Artful stampers blog hop 75

This was an "Up in the air " inspiration photo, so I immediately thought of airplanes, and fished out the Sky is the limit stamp set - great for masculine cards. I CASE'd this from Alisa Tilsner's blog. The photo has washed out the colours a little, so I am disappointed with that.

Having made that card, I was then inspired to make more masculine cards along the same line. (In fact I CASE'd my own card.) The background for all cards was made by using the versatile World traveler embossing folder.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these cards. I will be back later. TFL.

A "kaleidoscope" of butterflies

I enjoyed making last week's butterfly card so much, that I had to make more in a myriad of colours. (Kaleidoscope is the name for a collection of many butterflies, apparently). I hope that you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

Artful stampers blog hop no 71

Gorgeous colours - spoke to me of butterflies! So this is what I came up with.
I love the butterflies thinlits and the hello you thinlits - makes putting cards together so easy! Thanks for stopping by - will be back later with some alternative colour combo butterflies.

December's card swap

I participated in the card swap again last month, and we have just received the gorgeous cards from the group. After I completed this one, I made a number of others in differing colour themes - not sure which is my favourite! Not a brilliant photo - taken at night with my mobile! I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by.

Artful stampers challenge 67

Finally managed a sketch challenge.
Loving  shades of yellow at the moment, and that butterfly stamp and punch is extremely useful.
